Baldness is the result of hair follicles ceasing to re-generate in certain areas and those areas eventually connecting to other areas forming a hairline. Preliminary findings have shown that Botox injections into the scalp may effectively delay hair loss and even prevent baldness. While treating a patient for migraines with Botox injections, Dr. Sun realized the patient’s chemotherapy related hair loss was arrested. Eventually there was re-growth in some areas. Eventually, Dr. Sun added a vitamin cocktail to the Botox injections with the intention of improving the tissue surrounding the hair follicles by reducing scalp tension and increasing blood flow.
