Incisions of various lengths are carried out in the temple area, in front and behind the ear. Superficial muscular layers are then repositioned and tightened, and excess skin is removed, followed by meticulous skin closure. Chin and cheek implants, sized according to your needs, are often combined with facelift and neck lift to enhance facial contouring.

The surgery can take three to six hours in a surgery center. Simpler procedures may need only local anesthesia, whereas others require general anesthesia.

When and What the Results Might Be Expected? How long does the results last?
Immediate modest to dramatically enhanced corners of the mouth, jaw line, and neck line may be expected. Results of surgery generally last years to decades.

What is face and neck lift recovery like? When can I return to work and activities?
Recovery usually takes two weeks. Moderate swelling and bruising are expected. Postoperative cold compresses, anti-bruising medicine, and ointments are often helpful. Use of prescribed pain medicine usually may be needed during the first week. Make-up can be applied within one week. Most patients return to work and regular activities in two weeks.

Any treatments to help maintain or enhance my results?
Minor adjustments, maintenance, or further enhancements can often be done non-surgically with procedures such as BOTOX®, Thermage, Fillers, or Non-Surgical Facelift. More extensive changes may require further surgical shaping. For enhancement of the face and neck lift, chin or cheek implants are often recommended at the same time.
