Fraxel™ is the revolutionary new laser resurfacing technology by micro pixilation, powerful enough to achieving results similar to traditional laser resurfacing yet gentle enough to rejuvenate all skin types without the downtime or the recovery of past resurfacing lasers.Correctable conditions include facial wrinkle, scar, pores, melasma, neck and body photodamaged skin.FraxeLiteSM, the enhanced version of Fraxel™, combines both Fraxel™ technology and FotoFacial RF to achieve additional improvement beyond FraxelTM along. The synergistic combination of gentle laser microresufacing, intense pulsed light, and bipolar radio frequency significantly enhance the effects of Fraxel alone.Correctable conditions include wrinkles, acne, scar, pores, melasma, rosacea, and neck and body photodamaged skin.Serial sessions, either Fraxel™ alone or in combination with Fotofacial RF, are completed within several months period. Topical numbing medicine and a green dye is applied; while cooling is applied, the fractional laser is performed.
When and What Results Might Be Expected? How long does the results last?
Gradual improvement of texture, scar, wrinkle, and pigmentation is expected.
Results generally last up to years with further treatments suggested for maintenance.
What is the recovery like? When can I return to work and activities?
Recovery is minimal. Mild sun-burn sensation, dryness, and redness are expected during the first few days, followed by a gentle flakiness and a bronze appearance for one to two weeks. Anti-inflammatory, moisturizers, and sun-blocks are required during this period, but no exfoliating agents should be used.
Any treatments to help maintain or enhance my results?
Minor adjustments, maintenance, or further enhancements can often be done non-surgically with further mdSun™ Skin Care, Lasers/Fotofacial RF for additional enhancement. More extensive or permanent changes require further ablative options such as traditional laser resurfacing.
